NVEC
I mentioned a couple of weeks ago i started using a new graphing program called Grapher 7. What is really nice about it is it will graph spreadsheet data in multiple plots, which is esactly what I was looking for. I had started a project with a stock from the earnings list pulled at random (ADY). Unfortunately it had very spotty data available, so I picked one that I had no trouble getting data for, NVEC. From Yahoo finance I was able to get price and volume data in spreadsheet form going back to 1996 (when I presume it IPO'd). I was also able to get quarterly earnings data going back to 2001. I used SPX closing data to calculate price relative, and combined them into one spreadsheet. Since I had earnings going back to 2001, I cut off the price and volume data there, and made four plots. The black line is the daily closing price of NVEC, the light blue line is the price relative to the SPX, and the red line is quarterly EPS. The volume bar chart is at the bottom. The scales are adjustable, so I will be trying different scale factors. I will also calculate earnings growth rates and plot that as well. The program is not rocket science, but it is not terribly easy, either, so it may be a while before I get results that I am totally satisfied with, but this is a good start. I will use stockcharts charts for technical analysis, but it is helpful to take a deeper look into the fundamentals and this is a good way to do it.
