Thursday Morning Update

Yesterday I had a target of 1164, which we didn't come close to until the open this morning, when we gapped right up to it and promptly reversed. We got our usual Thursday unemployment claims this morning, basically no change, and we have the NFP report tomorrow, which probably won't be much of a surprise either. Consumer credit is going to be released this afternoon, and that could be interesting.  The leading sectors today are XLV and XLY, lagging are XLB and XLE. The Nasdaq is leading big, the Russell 2000 less so.  Oil and gold are down, treasury yields are mixed, the 10 year down but 30 year up.

I have 196 new highs so far, with breakouts in MASC, BMC, CLCT, ZUMZ, LTD, ACET, and CROX. All is quiet on the earnings front.
