Relative Strength By Industry
Here are the top 10 industries in 40 week average of percentage of stocks in the relative strength range. I highlighted the again this week to see which other scans they pop up in. They all have 40 week averages over 60. Some of them are quite small and this might be taken with a gran of salt, but for any group to average over 60% of their stocks in the relative strength range (top 25% of their 52 week ranges) has to be considered a strong group.
These are the groups with the largest percentages this week. As you can see, the highlighted groups are very prominent here.
These are the highest 4 week averages. Once again the highlighted groups are prominent. Apparently long tern strength is also translating to short term strength.
These are the highest in 10 week average. Same thing here. One thing that is becoming apparent: these strong groups get stronger during rallies, which is one reason why O'Neil puts so much emphasis on group strength. IBD groups are a little more logically organized, but unfortunately the complete list is not available (unless you pay the big bucks) so i go with what I have. I will be delving into these roups in more detail in the neat future,
The spreadsheet with the raw data will be uploaded as soon as I get the earnings summary done.
