Tuesday Morning Update
We are due for a bounce, and after another initial drop this morning, it looks like we might get one. The market is now moving up, albeit slowly, after a fairly hefty drop at the open. We are down around the 200dma, and in this case, it appears the expontial average is the one to watch, as this bounced off it yesterday. The simple average is just above 1280, the exponential average is just below. XLE and XLB are leading again today, with XLY and XLI lagging. The Nasdaq is leading slightly, but the Russell 2000 is leading pretty big. I have oil and gold both up, treasury yields down.
I have 28 new highs so far, with breakouts in HLF, SM. TWIN, AKRX, LQDT, and CRK. From my watchlists I have two stocks reporting last night: CRK down 1.5% and ALGT down 2.9%. From this morning: ARIA down 0.17%, DIN down 15%, IPGP up 8.6%, HWKN down 0.35%, and MDF up 3.5%. I will be getting a revised earnings schedule up probably later tonight.
