Earnings Growth Charts
I had no stocks from the earnings list reporting last week, but i did find seven that reported earlier this quarter that I missed, so i am putting those up today. I just realized the end of the quarter is nearly here, so I will not be updating the earnings spreadsheet this weekend, as I will be working on the quarterly update. on the chart, in the top panel the red line is quarterly EPS growth rate, black is quarterly revenue growth rate. in the middle red is quarterly EPS, black price, green quarterly revenue, and blue price relative to SPX. At the bottom the black bars are volume. None of these reported the end of a fiscal year, so I did not include annual EPS. SInce there are a lot of charts, my comment will be brief.
AIRM reported a negative growth quarter, but is in an inconsistent up trend in earnings. Revenue is in a slightly better up trend, and price is holding up quite well in the face of a weak market. I will be wathing this one.
CACC reported a quarter of decelerating growth, and is reflected in price, which is seeing it's first real pullback since this began moving up in 2009. This thing draws squat for volume, so keep an eye on it, because it might get somebody's attention soon, and it's almost scary to thing how high it could go.
CAP has seen a pretty dramatic fall in price after a pretty modest fall in EPS. It reported decelerating growth this quarter, but the market may be anticipating slowing, or negative growth here, o it may just be a case of follow the market. in either case, I wouldn't mess this until at leaast the next report, when we get a clearer picture of where EPS is headed.
CRVL reported accelerating growth, but that comes after a collapse in EPS last quarter. this is currently pulling back modestly, so we may be in the midst of building a base here as the market anticipates the next report.
ESLT reported a quarter of negative growth, and it looks here like the EPS growth cycle is done. This wwill have a hard time staying on the list.
EZPW reported accelerating growth, and has a pretty consistent track record of decent growth dating back to when I first started reading IBD back in 2004. The only thing keeping me out of this now is the severely weak market, which so far this seems to be ignoring.
NANO is one of the recent additions to the list. I have no revenue data on this, but it has had a short term eruption of high EPS growth. It reported a negative quarter this quarter, and has recently slowed, so I will be watching to see if this is just a pause in a longer term growth cycle or if the recent high growth was a flash in the pan.
