Wednesday Morning Update

We are starting to flesh out a trading range here, and it looks like it is going to be 1758-1778. We are moving up toward 1778, but encountering a little resistance just short of the top. Nothing much is going on, we do have some important numbers today, particularly CPI, but the 800 pound gorilla in the room is the dreaded FOMC, which will give their announcement today, so we may or may not have a major change in the complexion of he market. XLB and XLY are the current sector leaders, with XLP, XLU, and XLV lagging. The Nasdaq is leading slightly, the Russell 2000 lagging slightly. I have oil down, gold up, treasury yields down.

I have 267 new highs so far, with breakouts in NUVA, BIDU, LOCK, NANO, BBSI, DWA, IX, AEGR, TASR and BELFB. I have another boatload of reports, from last night on the left, from this morning on the right:
